About us

The Company

Yorkshire Tax Bureau Limited was incorporated in May 2003 and the original company name reflected both our location and unique market specialism.

Over the years both our clients and our staff habitually shortened the name to the current YTB acronym. YTB Limited became our official trading name in October 2011 and better reflects our ever expanding and diversifying portfolio of work and clients.

As was the case when the company first started trading, all individual assignments are overseen by our Director and performed by the most appropriate person within either our full-time staff or the range of consultants we use.  This ensures that all our work is carried out by an individual with the right level of expertise, but still enables us to maintain a consistently high-value pricing structure for our clients.

Depth of Experience

All of our staff are specialists in their respective fields backed up by a wealth of experience throughout the firm.

The institute of Certified Practising Accountants

The firm is a member of the ICPA through which it organises continuing professional education for its staff.

Personal Service

Our size and structure enable us to provide a specialised service, appropriate to our clients’ needs, on a cost-effective and timely basis.  We are able to combine a depth of knowledge and experience with a personal service, typified by friendliness and approachability.

The staff are available at all times to discuss queries or provide advice.  It is this personal service which, we believe, differentiates us from larger firms of Accountants operating in the same sectors.

Chris Woodfine (Director)

Chris started his career in taxation in 1988 when recruited as a Tax Inspector by the Inland Revenue, before moving into private practice a few years later.  Over the years he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience of all forms of UK and Offshore taxation.
